Job Description

The Generation is seeking a Business Development associate to maximize our connections with organizations and schools.

Roles

  • Identifying industry and competitive trends
  • Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate partner needs
  • Organizing meaningful business review meetings, performance data and usage insights which add value to partner strategy and operations
  • Building relationships with partners based on trust, honesty, respect and mutual advantage
  • Stay current on developments in relevant academic research and K-12 practice and policy trends
  • Manage executive-level contacts with key partners, including CEO/COO level meetings
  • Oversee/develop existing and new revenue streams for organization and collaborate across multiple disciplines to successfully execute
  • Developing detailed contract terms which protect and grow The Generation's value to students

About You / Desirable Qualities

  • Excellent ability to foster long-term relationships with key professionals
  • Confident and proficient email writer that is familiar with HubSpot or other email tracking software
  • Incredible organizer that would easily maintain a clean CRM and never miss a follow up
  • Familiarity in Competitive Analysis, Communications, Business Strategy or other relevant fields
  • Passionate about exploring and connecting with other impactful educational nonprofits
  • A high school or university student that is passionate about providing value to students
  • A self-starter who often goes above and beyond
  • A clear communicator who is radically candid and naturally motivates others

Requirements

Eligible Time Zones: Any within 3 hours of EST (GTM-5).

  • PST (GMT-8) to DST (GMT-2)

Non-Ideal Time Zone Policy: Applicants from non-eligible time zones are only eligible for the associate roles.
